LISA WALLACE, CHAIR

Lisa has been a member of JSEC Billings since she moved to Billings in 2007 and have found it a wonderful way to make connections within the community that benefit both the organization she represents as the Director of Career Services at Rocky Mountain College - Career Services, her career, and personal life.

In addition to having served as the Chair previously, Lisa has been involved in the Recognition Committee (previously named the Scholarship Committee) since 2008, and has been the Chair of that group for many years.

Lisa is especially proud of the growth in the types of scholarships we offer to the community. Lisa is committed to helping JSEC Billings find ways for the organization to focus on growing its membership, both in numbers and in types of industries represented.

RICK ALAN DEADY, VICE CHAIR

Rick Deady is the current Emergency Safety Planner/PREA Coordinator of the Quality Assurance Department with Alternatives, Inc. He has over 15 years of experience implementing workforce development program in the state of Montana. His expertise came from working for the Administrative Entity for these workforce boards. Oversight of contracts with Private Non-Profits Agencies, Job Services, MT. Vocational Rehab offices, Adult Ed 8% Education Grants, etc. Conducted On-Site Monitoring for Contract Compliance, provided on-site training and technical assistance. Established state-wide training conferences, working with Job Services offices in the development of JSEC committees, and other USDOL programs. Rick is also a Lifetime member of the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP), Region 8 representative to NAWDP National Board of Directors (2000-2005); Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP), Certified Training USDOL Simply Better Initiative; Member of several USDOL sponsored boards or initiatives; Speaker on Dislocated Workers at Mid-America Workforce Conference 2001 and 2002; Brought first Soft Skills training to Montana and introduced the Soft Skills Curriculum to the Workforce system.

LYNNDEE SCHMIDT, TREASURER

LynnDee Schmidt is the Benefits & Safety Manager for Yellowstone County, which is one of the larger employers in Billings, with close to 500 full time employees.  Her area of responsibilities include: Recruitment & Selection, Classification & Compensation, Employee Orientation & Training, Employee Benefits, Worker’s Compensation, administrator for the County’s self-funded health insurance and is the Wellness Coordinator for the Yellowstone County Focus on Fitness & safety programs.  She is also a member of the County’s Health Insurance Advisory Committee and Chair of the Safety Committee.  Ms. Schmidt holds a SPHR & SHRM-SCP certification and is a member of the Billings Clinic Occupational Health Advisory Board, Treasurer for the Billings Job Service Employer’s Committee (JSEC) and Montana State Employers Council (MSEC). Ms. Schmidt has been the JSEC Treasurer since 2009 and was instrumental in acquiring the 501(c)3 and Incorporation status for the Billings JSEC. LynnDee has been involved with JSEC since 2000 and held several positions as Chair and Vice-Chair in addition to serving on several committees. 

SAMANTHA HENSEL, COORDINATOR

Samantha has spent most of her life all around Montana but mostly in Billings. She has been with the Department of Labor and Industry with Billings Job Service as a Workforce Consultant for over a year. Since she has joined the JSEC team, she has hit the ground running as Co-Coordinator and is an asset to the Jobs Jamboree Square Space platform transition as well as assisting with the Partnerships and Recognition Committee. She has 5+ years in talent acquisition and even more years in motivation and development in which her passion is helping people from all walks of life. When she is not “moving and shaking” she enjoys photoshopping, creating and being a mother.

BRITTANY LANE, CO-COORDINATOR

I’m a Billings native who graduated from Montana State University-Billings with a degree in Organizational Communications and a minor in International Studies.  With 15+ years of Marketing/Sales and Advertising experience, I’m very well connected to the community and have a passion for working with people from all walks of life. In my down time, when I’m not busy helping people find forever jobs and forever homes, I sincerely enjoy networking, hiking, and traveling with my Sprinter “Van-goh”. Most importantly, I absolutely love hanging out with my friends/family and fur babies, including my darling, sweet, side kick Teddy😊
